Wijtze and Henny Mulder are the proud owners of the farm the Lelyhoeve. The farm was named after de famous Dutch Mennonite civil engineer and statesman, who designed the Zuiderzee Works, a major project changing the Zuiderzee into a lake, and turning huge areas into dry land. The farm was built in 1933 and is located in Wieringermeer. The end of the WWII marked an all-time low in the history of the Lelyhoeve: because the dikes of the Wieringermeer polder were blown up, the farm was irreparably damaged by the streaming water. After liberation, the farm and its agriculture were rebuilt and reused. Many years later, in 2000, family Mulder transformed the farm into a dairy farm and have now approximately 50 cows.

Visitors that seek peacefulness will enjoy this location, as the farm is situated next to a very silent alley without direct neighbours. Restinn Medemblik is a great starting point for a bike or hike tour! Visitors that have a like for bird watching could get pleasure from sitting on the terrace and enjoy the unobstructed view. Visitors have spotted swallows, harriers, redshanks, black-tailed godwit and lapwings.

Cheque in and out:
Your cabin is available to you from 2.30 pm. Please make sure to check out at 11 am at the latest. With a later departure, you will be charged an extra day's stay.
Wheelchair friendly:
Restinn cabins are wheelchair accessible thanks to their wide entrance and the absence of thresholds. Please note that the shower and toilet area do not have the same wide entrance!
Pets:
Dogs are allowed (€ 7,50 per night) upon request. There is plenty of space for your pet to play and run about.

The surroundings of the Lelyhoeve can be explored excellently by foot, bike or even by water. In your Restinn cabin, you will find all the information you need on various possibilities. The links page von our website also offers different websites with beautiful bike and hike routes.
Furthermore, Wieringermeer / Medemblik have all ingredients for a delightful and adventurous stay: from West Frisian Water Works to open air concerts, plenty of activities in this area. Medemblik itself is a cosy historical harbour town with plenty of nice little shops, pavement cafés and off course a sparkling harbour. Feel like culture, sports or history? After a relaxing night's sleep your hostess Henny will serve you a delicious Dutch breakfast in the comfort of your Restinn cabin. What more do you need?
Dining-inn
No need to get out in the evening, looking for a place to dine. Your hostess will happily take care of this meal as well and, again, serve it in your own cabin. This "Dining-inn" service is available every evening, between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Please order your dinner directly with your booking or the same morning before 11 am. You can choose any of the carefully selected meat- fish- vegetarian dishes on the menu.
Your Restinn cabin is well-stocked with fine wines and other (non-) alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal. Contact your host(ess) for any additional requests!
Drinks and snacks
In addition to the wide range of drinks, your Restinn offers you a broad variety of fruit, snacks and candy. Your Restinn also accommodates a coffeemaker, a water heater and complementary coffee pads and teabags.

Ask your hostess for a packed lunch and be on your way! You can order your packed lunch a day in advance. Your hostess will deliver the packed lunch with your breakfast.

All Restinns have free coffee and tea making facilities. The use of other drinks and snacks in your Restinn cabin are charged against moderate hospitality rates.
